Happy New Year! We’re halfway through the year and a lot has happened. The most obvious is our new and updated PTA website! Please take a look around; we think you’ll like what you see. We started off this year with our 3rd annual Walkathon / FunRun. What a success! Thanks to all of our amazing students, families and staff we had a record year and are so grateful for you all!
This year the PTA has committed to funding some very important projects at BCS. We continue to bolster all classroom libraries with new and interesting books for our students. We’ve teamed up with our STEAM teachers and have helped bring in even more authors, cultural programs, science programs and trips. Additionally we’ve teamed up with Goodwin College to fund new 3D printers for our students and Tech-Ed program.
We have some great events and speakers lined up for the second half of the year. Be sure to mark your calendars for our 2nd annual Spring Gala happening on March 21st at A Villa Louisa.
Lastly I would like to thank our BCS families and Staff for helping make my 2 years as PTA President fun and rewarding. This is my last year as a BCS president, as my youngest is headed off to high school. All three of my kiddos have made their way through the BCS hallways (including myself!). I don’t have to tell you how amazing our little school is, and that’s because it’s filled with amazing people.
Oh – I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that we are looking for a new PTA President for next year. Please reach out to any of us on the PTA Board, or to me directly if you are interested. We have a great group of parents that will make the transition to President an easy one.
