The National PTA website, www.pta.org, provides a great deal of information for parents under the tab labeled "Parent Resources."   You will find articles on Health and Wellness, Media and Technology, Safety, and Student Achievement.  There are bulletin boards where parents can go to post information and discucss topics of interest/concern.  Our Children, the National PTA's magazine, is an excellent resource.  It addresses issues such as child welfare and advocacy, family involvement in education and public education.  You can read key articles online from the current year as well as the previous two years.  In addition, you can sign up to receive The PTA Parent, a bi-weekly newsletter containing parenting information and legislative issues.

Under the heading entitled "Issues and Actions," you will find information on becoming an advocate for children.  There is also a sub-heading entitled "This Week in Washington."  You can sign up to receive weekly emails in which you will learn about what's happening on Capitol Hill, as well as about legislative issues that may affect your family, community or school.
